There are few odors immediately recognizable and absolutely bewildering than the “old people who smell”.

Very inevitable and olfactory thinking as a result of aging, a longevity expert explained how the smell develops and how a superfood can help to banish it.
“The smell of the elderly comes from lipid peroxidation on the skin. And if you do not have enough antioxidants, this smell accumulates and because we do not get very much cell turnover as we grow old, it lasts,” said Leslie Kenny, a founder of Oxford Healthspan and the coach certified for the bullet test.
Kenny simulates the peroxidation of lipids with the oxidized body.
“It’s a whole body thing,” he explained. “The smell comes from a compound called 2-nonenal. It is basically the sebum that has been rounded.”
The natural antioxidant defenses of our skin decrease with age. This results in an increase in the oxidation of skin lipids and the production of 2-nonenal, a by-product of the rupture of omega-7 fatty acids on the surface of the skin.
Kenny argues that, unlike body smell, the scent of the old people cannot disguise or wash.
“You can’t mask perfume. The perfume simply captures on top and gives it a kind of smell,” he said.
“You can’t get rid of the bathroom more because the cells do not turn enough quickly and lipid fats are not so easy to break down, so the smell will still be there.”

Kenny explains that nutrition, specifically a dense diet with mushrooms, is key to this interior focus to prevent smell.
The mushrooms are packaged with the amino acid ergotionin, a powerful antioxidant with anti -inflammatory properties that stops the lipid peroxidation before the Oldie smell accumulates.
According to reports, ergotionin can make you fresh and think straight, as research suggests that diets rich in mushrooms can reduce the risk of cognitive impairment by half.
Mushrooms are also an excellent source of spermidine, an organic compound that activates autophage, the regenerative process that eliminates the components of damaged cells and recycles to support cell renewal.
Autophagia plays a critical role in the slowing of aging, the protection of the disease, the maintenance of metabolic efficiency and the mitigation of mature musicals.
Kenny points out that while all mushrooms help and abet smell more like spring breeze than a root cellar, shiitake and oysters, they are the best commitment to nutrient delivery.

With ergotionin by stopping the peroxidation of lipids and the spermidine that supports autofagia, Kenny calls the mushrooms “the perfect food to eat to fight this smell.”
Kenny said to the publication that mushrooms are preventive and healing medicine.
“As we go through the perimenopause and menopause, we want to try to include more foods rich in ergotionins like mushrooms to prevent the appearance of this smell,” he said.
“And if you are older and you want to undo -the scent, the mushrooms are a fantastic option because, again, they have the spermidine that will help with the fastest turnover of the cells.”
In addition to helping us to smell more as spring chickens than in the old curves, it has been shown that the mushrooms slow down the progression of cancer, reduce blood pressure, improve insulin resistance, armor against brain damage and help maintain healthy bones.
Other research has found a link between eating mushrooms and a lower risk of prostate cancer and breast cancer.
