Comediant, 36, diagnosed with stomach cancer: this is the wealthy way

The comic Sidney Raz had no warning signs before doctors found a stomach cancer growing inside.

The 36 -year -old, better known for his viral videos of “Hacks Life”, was precociously diagnosed, significantly improving his chances of overcoming the disease.

But it was no luck that caused the discovery. It was the heart.

In March, Raz, whose real name is Sidney Raskind, brought social media to share devastating news: his daughter had died in Utero only 26 weeks after the Holoprosencephaly, a rare condition where the brain is not properly trained.

Following the tragedy, the content creator and his wife underwent genetic evidence to try to understand what had been wrong.

Although the doctors did not detect anything in their genes to explain the defect, they found something more: Raz had a mutation in the CTNNA1 gene called a suppression, the same as his daughter had.

“Due to this removal, in recent years, it has been considered to cause certain types of cancer, specifically stomach cancer,” Raz shared in an Instagram video.

This genetic red flag prompted the influencer to suffer an endoscopy, where doctors found stomach cancer in the initial phase.

“He had no symptoms,” Raz said in a later update. “It was literally only my daughter’s DNA that saved my life, and now there may be a way forward.”

Doctors recommended removing their stomachs completely. Surgery is scheduled for July.

“The doctor said today that if he had not caught him so soon, he would return to three years in the third phase or four cancer,” said Raz. “So maybe I don’t have my stomach, but I’ll be here in three or four years.”

Ask you how will you eat without stomach?

Raz broke it on Tiktok. Surgeons will connect their esophagus directly to their intestine, so instead of being digested to the food in the stomach first, only “straight” will come out.

“I just have to chew much more and go back to the body like eating, so I can’t eat so much,” he said. “It will be a great adjustment. But I don’t want cancer.”

Stomach cancer often grows quietly, developing slowly for years with few symptoms, if there are notable, according to the Mayo Clinic.

When they appear, the first signs may include indigestion and upper stomach pain.

But most people are not diagnosed until much later, when the disease has progressed and symptoms such as blood vomiting, black stool, extreme fatigue and inexplicable weight loss begin to appear.

In the United States, new stomach cancer cases have dropped by about 1.5% each year over the last decade, according to the American Cancer Society.

Traditionally, the disease has mostly affected major adults, but the rates are rising among young people.

Being male, overweight or obese can increase your possibilities. It can also a diet rich in savory, smoked or pickled foods and low ones in vegetable fruits.

Smoking alcohol consumption is also known risk factors.

Medical conditions such as gastritis, stomach polyps and gastroesophageal reflux disease, along with a Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) infection, can also increase their odds.

If you are thinking of genetic tests, Raz suggests asking doctors to check that there are mutations in the CDH1 and CTNNA1 genes.

“These are the two right now we know they lead to this type of gastric cancer broadcast,” he said.

By 2025, the American Cancer Society estimates that about 30,300 new cases of stomach cancer in the United States are diagnosed, and about 10,780 people will die from the disease.
