According to new research, almost a third of the North -Americans have traveled somewhere only to eat.
A survey of 2,000 North adults -Americans revealed that 22% have crossed the state lines to put their hands on a certain food or refreshment, while another 10% has reached another country to satisfy their wishes.
An additional 34% admit that although they have not yet climbed in a car or a plane to taste their favorite gift, they have considered it and they would do it if they were given the opportunity.
Fifty-six percent of all respondents would leave room for the suitcase only to return home, while another 41% did not even buy another suitcase in order to protect their recently purchased refrigeris.
In fact, the North -American average would spend $ 180 to test their favorite international food in their country of origin.
In a more realistic sense, respondents enjoy their favorite international flavors with an average of three times a month, although for 30%, it is less common than once a month.
Directed by Talker Research on behalf of HI-CHEW, the survey found that mango (42%), coconut (39%), fruit dragon (27%) and Dulce de Leche (20%) passed the list of favorites and according to the results, which are best enjoyed in a dessert (51%).
Other popular ways of enjoying drinks, such as coffee, tea or smoothies (39%) or as candy (32%).
But which countries reign specifically higher? Italy (23%), Mexico (21%) and Japan (15%) stuck the three first strips.
For some, these global flavors add variety to their daily options (51%), while others say they satisfy their adventurous tastes (40%).
When images of certain global treatment are shown, respondents considered the most attractive chocolate bar (41%), followed by a cannoli (37%) and Tiramisu (31%). Others opted for macarons (21%) or chewing candies (19%).
The survey found that Americans yearn to expand their palates, as a respondent said: “I usually have a very open idea about what I eat, so I’m willing to try almost anything.”
Another expressed the desire to “try more Chamoy flavors”, while a different respondent seeks “anything from Japan”.
“ Eighty percent of North -Americans are interested in trying a new global refreshment, according to the survey, ” said Teruhiro Kawabe (Terry), a leader in the United States and President, CEO of Morinaga America, “ while traveling to new countries on many cubes lists, anyone can also explore international flavors in the local markets in the neighborhood so that they can enjoy and try new waters at home. ”
The survey also requested 42% of respondents who have traveled internationally over their snack experiences. Among these travelers, 81% said that their international travels revealed new favorite delights that they would not have tried otherwise.
In fact, the two main things that the respondents expect when dealing with the country that try new things in general (52%) and specifically try new foods (39%).
In addition, almost half (46%) agree that the United States is not even among the top 10 when it comes to the best world snacks.
Regardless of their travel experience, the three quarters of all respondents agree that enjoying the appetizers is always an important part of the trip, regardless of where it goes.
“Whether you return to new snacks for the family and friends of your next getaway or explore international flavors in local grocery stores, the increasing demand for global tastes makes it easier for consumers to enjoy international flavors without having to travel far,” added Kawabe.
